Led by a marine biologist, you'll explore sunrise tide pools, share a traditional Maldivian breakfast, and ease into the water with a playful shoreline scavenger hunt. The morning ends with a guided reef snorkel and a shallow "Bubblemaker" scuba option for kids—turning the ocean into a welcoming classroom before returning to Malé by noon.

Itinerary

• 05:30 | The Dawn Meetup: Our journey begins right at your hotel reception in the Malé area(Male, HulhuMale, Airport). Meet your host, leave the urban pace behind, and head together to the ferry terminal for a quiet 10-minute transit across the channel to Villingili Island.
• 06:00 | Sunrise Tidepooling: Step onto Villingili Island's quiet shores just as the sun breaks over the horizon. Walk the low-tide shoreline to explore the intertidal zone, peering into shallow pools to discover crabs, sea snails, and hidden coastal ecology.
• 08:00 | Traditional Breakfast: Take a break on land at a local spot. Fuel up with a refreshing breakfast of *Mas-huni* scooped up with warm, fresh *roshi*, paired with hot tea or fresh juice to warm up for the water ahead.
• 09:00 | Water Confidence Hunt: Transition gently into the water. In the calm, waist-deep shallows near the shoreline, families participate in a playful ocean scavenger hunt designed to help first-timers get perfectly comfortable using masks and wading in the gentle waves.
• 10:30 | The Shallow Reef Exploration: Now fully comfortable, head out to the reef for the morning's highlight, offering two parallel options:
  • Family Snorkel & Fish ID: Swim alongside your marine biologist to explore the shallow reef flats, identify vibrant fish species, and try your hand at underwater photography.
  • Kids' Bubblemaker Experience: Children have the unique option to try a safe, highly supervised introduction to breathing underwater on scuba gear in the calm shallows (maximum depth of 2 meters).
• 11:45 | Midday Return: Regroup on the beach to rinse off and review your underwater photos. Head back to the Villingili Island jetty together to catch the ferry, arriving back on the Malé side by noon with a newfound love for the ocean.
